A SENSE OF URGENCY
Clutter Beacon is a wake-up experience that communicates through behavior. The lamp reacts to environmental clutter by slowly curling downward, suggesting neglect without explicitly telling the user to clean. Its form remains subtle and neutral, while its movement becomes the primary means of expression. The design process focused on how movement, color, and physical response could act as feedback within a space. Prototyping in context explored how movement can influence perception without text or screens.
By embedding feedback into the material and motion of the lamp, the project investigates how interaction can be intuitive without being explicit.
