A SENSE OF MODULARITY
This project explores festivals as temporary spatial systems that rely heavily on fossil fuel energy, proposing kinetic floor tiles that harvest the movement of visitors as a renewable source of power. Rather than treating energy as an invisible technical layer, the system makes energy generation part of the spatial experience, allowing people to physically engage with and become aware of their role within the environment. The modular tiles only gain meaning when arranged into a larger whole, reflecting a systems-thinking approach where T&R and MDC support embodied understanding rather than optimization alone.
